Planned Giving

For ISPI members who are interested in including the International Society for Performance Improvement in their will, below are several examples of suggested bequest wording. Each individual situation is unique and, therefore, these examples include only some of the possible gift opportunities. We encourage you to share your final will provision with ISPI to ensure your wishes are properly followed and recognized. 

Percentage of Estate for Unrestricted Purpose

I give, devise, and bequeath to the International Society for Performance Improvement, a not-for-profit organization located in Silver Spring, MD, _____ percent (%) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate as an unrestricted gift to be used at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Performance Improvement to support educational and research initiatives that further the mission and vision of the International Society for Performance Improvement. 

Percentage of Estate for Specific Purpose

I give, devise, and bequeath to the International Society for Performance Improvement, a not-for-profit organization located in Silver Spring, MD, _____ percent (%) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate for the benefit of the International Society for Performance Improvement to be used for the following purpose: (state the purpose). 

If changed circumstances should at some future time make it impractical or impossible to continue using the income from the Fund for the purpose designated, then the International Society for Performance Improvement Board of Directors may re-designate the purpose to adhere as closely as possible to my original intent. 

Specific Amount for Unrestricted Purpose

I give, devise, and bequeath to the International Society for Performance Improvement, a not-for-profit organization located in Silver Spring, MD, the sum of $_______ in cash or in-kind (or ________ shares of ________stock) to be used at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the International Society for Performance Improvement to support educational and research initiatives that further the mission and vision of the International Society for Performance Improvement.

Designating the Purpose of a Bequest 

  • Unrestricted: The most useful type of bequest is unrestricted, allowing the funds to be allocated by the International Society for Performance Improvement wherever the need is greatest. 
  • Restricted: You may designate your bequest to support a special program or purpose that reflects your personal or professional interest.
