Performance Improvement Quarterly (PIQ)

PIQ, substantially discounted to members, is a peer-reviewed journal created to stimulate professional discussion in the field and to advance the discipline of HPT through publishing scholarly works. Its emphasis is on human performance technologies such as front-end analysis or evaluation. It also offers literature reviews and experimental studies with a scholarly base, and some case studies.  (ISSN-0898-5952)

Member Subscriptions -- Please email info@ispi.org or call 1-301-587-8570 and ISPI will add PIQ to your annual dues billing. If your membership has recently been renewed, ISPI will send you an invoice for the issues to be published prior to your next renewal. The annual subscription for members is $45 for North American addresses (USA, Canada, Mexico), and $65 for all other addresses.

Non-Member Subscription Information and Customer Service

Subscriptions to Performance Improvement Quarterly may be purchased through our publishing partner, John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Non-member may access Performance Improvement Quarterly through Wiley InterScience. Articles may be purchased for $29.95 per article. Pay-Per-View allows visitors and other individuals to purchase full-text documents directly by using a personal credit card. Access is immediate and continues for 24 hours.

Richard Pearlstein, PhD, Editor

Rich PearlsteinRichard Pearlstein, PhD, is the Director of Organizational Effectiveness for the Center for Systems Management. He has senior-level experience in managing strategic performance improvement initiatives for Federal and Fortune 100 organizations. He has extensive experience in managing a broad range of performance improvement disciplines, including instructional design and training, human performance technology, human factors research, and leadership and organization development. His past positions include tenures at the USAID Global Health Senior Fellows Program, American Red Cross Biomedical Services, and U.S. Senate to name a few. Richard is a frequent presenter at ISPI conferences, is a past ISPI Board member (VP for Research & Development 1992-94), and has served as a consulting editor for Performance Improvement Quarterly (PIQ) for more than 10 years.
