There is an old Chinese proverb that most of us are familiar with: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." All too many of us have been giving HPT to managers and supervisors when we should be teaching HPT to them.

Every day, managers and supervisors observe the present level of performance of their workgroups and compare it to a desired level of performance such as a work standard or goal. Their next step is to select solutions from what they have done in the past or to work with solutions that their peers have used in similar situations. Managers and supervisors lack a systematic and systemic approach to analyzing performance gaps and their underlying causes before they select their solutions. They also lack the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to improve the day-to-day performance of their direct reports.

Roger Chevalier and Miki Lane will provide you with ideas, models, and tools that can be used by managers and supervisors to improve workplace performance. As a result of this webinar, you will be in a better position to bring performance improvement techniques to your managers and supervisors.
